Everything you need to know about robotic process automation and working with Techrobotic.

What is RPA?

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is software built to mimic human actions inside your existing applications — clicking buttons, entering data, moving files, copying and pasting, and making rule-based decisions. It works across any software your team already uses, without changing your systems. We call this software a robot — a digital worker that operates alongside your team.

How is RPA different from AI?

RPA follows explicit rules — if X, do Y. It’s deterministic and automates structured, repeatable tasks. AI makes predictions and learns from data — it mimics human thought. They’re complementary: RPA handles the predictable busywork, and AI handles the content generation, analysis, and reasoning. Most of our clients start with RPA because it can be 100% accurate and the ROI is immediate and measurable.

What types of processes can be automated?

Any process that is rule-based (even highly conditional), repetitive, and involves structured or semi-structured data. Common examples include data entry across multiple systems, document processing and generation, report generation, invoice handling, compliance checks, and files or records management. If your team does it the same way every time, according to a set of rules, a robot can probably do it faster. It definitely won’t take a coffee break.

How long does development and implementation take?

Timeframe is based on complexity. Simple automations typically take 6–8 weeks. A moderately complex automation might be an 8–12 week project. Complex automations can take 16–20 weeks to build out. Every engagement starts with a Discovery phase that produces a clear timeline before any build begins.

Is there a per-user or per-seat fee?

No. The price is based on process complexity, not how many people benefit from the automation.

Will the robot cost more once I scale my business?

No. That’s the beauty — the robot can handle as much work as you can give it, and we price based on the complexity of the process and environment, not on the amount of work.

What happens if my process changes after deployment?

Small tweaks may be covered under your support and maintenance. For more significant changes, we have built-in enhancement discounts in every account. When your process evolves, we update the robot. For significant scope changes, we’ll discuss whether it’s maintenance or an enhancement.

Do I need to install new software?

No. The robot runs on our infrastructure and operates inside your existing applications — the same software your team already uses. No new platforms for your team to learn how to integrate and use.

How do you ensure accuracy?

Every robot goes through full User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in your environment before go-live. We build in exception handling, validation checks, and logging. After deployment, we monitor every robot run 24/7 — if something fails, we know before you do.

What industries do you work with?

We specialize in law firms, accounting, wealth management, and healthcare, but RPA works in any industry with repetitive, rule-based, time-consuming workflows. If you have a process bottleneck, we can evaluate it regardless of industry.

Can I start with just one process?

That’s exactly how we recommend starting. Pick your worst bottleneck, prove ROI on a single process, and expand from there. The savings is addictive — we know you’ll add more.
